    The Lughnasa Celebration

    of August

The First Harvest of Three Harvests to Feast, Revel in Joy, Gratitude & Join in the Sacred Gatherings

  • Experience Lughnasa (said like loo-nah-sah) and celebrate in the Sacred Energies of the First Harvest! This is often called Lammas (though this is a much later name that was changed with religion). The energy of this fest is filled with reverence for our Mother Goddess Earth and the Abundant Energies rising once again...

It is the beginning of the Harvest Season and Lughnasa typically spans the six weeks leading up to the Autumn Equinox (which is called Mabon), so the fest is really an undertone of all of August and into September in the northern hemisphere.

This first harvest feast and festival celebrates the first fruits that can now be enjoyed, the fields of barley growing under the warm summer sun, and honoring the generosity and the abundant gifts of the Good Earth.
