Ep. 60: Exploring the Healing Foundations of Witchcraft & Magick

This is a special podcast because I have one of my favorite authors on that I magickally discovered this year, Christopher Penczak. He's helping me learn so much (even how to say these difficult Gaelic words LOL)
 

I’ve been on a magical journey for the past year or so in connecting to the core of my purpose and reaching into the past to understand the larger picture of my journey. I’ve discovered I come from a long line of powerful ancestors of Irish, Scottish, and Germanic descent-- powerful priestesses, pagans, and Celtic warriors and healers, also known as witches.

I am now beginning to see the bigger picture and fully embracing my path, stepping into my power as a healer and moving into the space more and more each day. Part of this has been exploring what it is to be a witch, a word that has resonated with me since I was a child. This word and the meaning of it was inverted by dark political and religious factions that wanted to take the world through power, greed, and money.

Like many things in this world, it has been inverted and changed to seem as if it’s something negative which couldn’t be further from the truth.

A witch is simply a healer, and magick is real; it’s essentially working with the energies of the Universe. There is so much to UNlearn to get to the truth around this topic and so much more in this world. Getting to the truth is typically UNlearning most of what you’ve been programmed to know...

In this episode, we explore the beauty in the ancient wisdom our ancestors held and dive in with Christopher Penczak around magick. He is a modern Witch, award-winning author, and co-founder of the Temple of Witchcraft.

Christopher Penczak is a Witch, teacher, writer and healing practitioner. His practice draws upon the foundation of both modern and traditional Witchcraft blended with the wisdom of mystical traditions from across the globe as a practitioner and teacher of shamanism, tarot, Reiki healing, herbalism, astrology and Qabalah.

He is the founder of the Temple of Witchcraft tradition and system of magickal training based upon the material of his books and classes.
